Awesome. An opera with a very beautiful name and very worthy of this beautiful name: the music is more and more impressive and emotional as the action progresses. My mother adores her and she always told me about this work. Un'opera con un nome molto bello e molto degna di questo bel nome: la musica è sempre più impressionante ed emozionante man mano che l'azione procede. Mia madre la adora e mi ha sempre raccontato di questo lavoro. O opera cu un nume foarte frumos si foarte demna de acest nume frumos: muzica e din ce mai impresionanta si emotionanta pe masura ce actiunea progreseaza. Mama mea o adora si mereu imi povestea de aceasta opera.

Magnifica interpretazione di un vero CA-PO-LA-VO-RO! Credo che la musica di quest'opera sia più raffinata e matura di quella del Barbiere e della Cenerentola.
Perfino la Ricciarelli, qui, appare abbastanza convincente…

Absolute tops!! Why this wonderful opera isn’t performed much more than it is, beats me. It’s an extraordinary masterpiece though. Surely Rossini, if he’d worked in 20C, would’ve given Hermann a run for his money for thriller scores.
